PATA Community Outreach Program – Support Bradley Students

PATA’s Community outreach program kicked off a new initiative to assist Bradley international (Indian) students. This initiative will provide transitional support for new incoming students and ongoing (non-monetary) support for existing students. PATA will be working closely with International Student Association (ISA), part of Bradley University. Typical support students might request the supporting family. These requests need to be mutually agreed upon and are not intended to be mandatory:

Host students at their home for a reasonable transition time if initial accommodation is requested and can be accommodated by the host family.
Provide transportation to local shopping malls, grocery stores, restaurants, temple and other essential places.
Assist with opening Bank account and any other non-monetary tasks.
Offer emotional support in case of medical emergencies.
Host students at their home for lunch, dinner, or occasional overnight/weekend stays
Host students during major festivals (Dasara, Diwali, etc.,) or holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas etc.,) so that they can feel home away from home hospitality.
Extend support with other non-monetary tasks as needed.
Incoming students processing:

Bradley’s ISA student representative will compile and share incoming students that need assistance.
PATA’s Community outreach program coordinator will review this list of requests from the ISA.
PATA will coordinate with local community families who are willing
PATA would like to hear from you. Once we collect your interest PATA will invite you for a follow-up information session. These session will cover the details and can address any additional questions.  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c084cafad2ea3ffc43-pata#/
